Time Schedule

Friday, January 29, 2010              Set up - 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at Harborside Convention Center, Ft. Myers

Saturday, January 30, 2010         Judging at Harborside Convention Center, Ft. Myers

·        High Schools       8:15 A.M.

·        Middle Schools   8:45 A.M.

·        Grades K-3          9:30 A.M.

·        Grades 4-5          10:30 A.M.

 

Open to Public           1:30 to 4:30 P.M. at Harborside Convention Center, Ft. Myers

Exhibit take down:     4:30 – 5:00 P.M.  All exhibits are required to be in place until 4:30 P.M.
            All exhibits are required to be removed between 4:30 to 5:00 P.M.

 

Monday, February 1, 2010           Inventors Fair Awards Ceremony, Edison Park Elementary Auditorium, 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm

 

Guidelines for Timelines

 

1)     Students should be at exhibits 15 minutes before judging.

2)     Parents may not accompany students during judging.

3)     Special exhibits will be in the lobby for "waiting parents and students".

4)     A special area will be sectioned off for all elementary students to connect with parents.  These students will be directed there after being judged.

5)     One team consisting of three judges will judge each student.

6)     Valuable items are the responsibility of the exhibitor.  Small exhibit items may be brought in for the judging period only.  Large items will not be allowed in after the set up period or removed before the "take down" time.  

7)     "Winner ribbons" will indicate students who will receive awards at the Awards Program.  First, Second, Third Place Winners and Special Award Recipients will be announced at the Awards Program. 

Important Note:  All regional student participants are invited to attend whether or not they receive a winners ribbon.
