Sabrina Prabakaran - Second Place in the category of Cellular and Molecular Biology; the Ashtavadhani Vidwan Ambati Subbaraya Chetty (AVASC) Foundation Second Award of $500 U.S. Savings Bond; the Florida Institute of Technology Scholarship Award of $12,500 per year for four years; and States United for Biomedical Research (SUBR) First Award $2,500 for her project on Programming of Adult Hematopoietic Stem Cells to Differentiate into Retinal Pigment Epithelium Cells Using RPE65 Gene: A Novel Mode of Cell Replacement Therapy for Tissue Specific Repair

United States Air Force First Award of $3,000 for her project on Differentiation of Neural Progenitor Cells into Inner Ear Hair Cells:A Strategy for Treating Deafness

 

 

ISEF 2006 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Justin A. Johns and Christine E. Johns – the American Dental Association Foundation award for the best exhibit with application to dental research with an Award of $1,000 for their project on Xylitol Xtreme Two: A Time Sequencing Study Assessing the Inhibitory Effect of Pentahydroxypentane (Xylitol) on the Bacterial Growth Curve of Strep. mutans.

 

Sabrina Prabakaran – the American Physiological Society award for the best projects in the physiological sciences which include cellular physiology, animal physiology and neurophysiology – Third Award of $500 for her project on Treatment of Age-related Macular Degeneration, Year Two: Effect of Intraocular Steroid on Choroidal Neovasculature and Vitreal Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Level

 

Benjamin Brinkopf  -  the Florida Institute of Technology Scholarship Award of $12,500 per year for four years for his project on Testing the Efficient Market Hypothesis with Artificial Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms

 

Mary Margaret Brinkopf – the Office of Naval Research on behalf of the United States Navy and Marine Corps Tuition Scholarship Award in the amount of $8,000 for her project on Working Memory Interference Effect on Visual ERP's
